Vinyl Privacy Fences

There are many different types of these types of fences. You can find units that look like they’re made of wood.

You can find units that look like they’re made of stone.

You can find units that are white, black, brown, or grey. Pretty much any style you’re looking for you can find.

You can find units that are decorative and units that are muted and functional. Whatever style of vinyl privacy fences you are looking for you should be able to find one that fits your personal style.

The Grade

What you need to look for is the grade of the vinyl. Don’t go and make any buying decision before you consider all the specifics and the grade is a very important specific.

There are two grades of vinyl – residential and commercial.

Commercial grade vinyl privacy fencing is much more durable and is a higher quality than residential. So if you purchase from a manufacturer or retailer make sure the grade of the vinyl you choose is commercial.

The Construction

Not all vinyl privacy fences are created equal. Some may be thicker than others but don’t let that fool you. Thickness does not necessarily mean that the fence is stronger or more durable.

There are a few chemicals that are added to vinyl to make it weather and element proof.

UV inhibitors, impact modifiers, and stablilizers are all added to make vinyl strong enough to last for many years and to ward off the everyday assault from the sun and the elements like rain and wind.

If you have a really thick vinyl but you don’t have the right amount of UV inhibitors and impact modifiers then that thick vinyl will yellow and corrode much, much faster than thinner privacy fences that are vinyl that have the right amount of added inhibitors, modifiers, and stabilizers.

So be vigilant and do your due process when it comes to finding the right fence.

There are very important specifics that you MUST consider or you may end up with vinyl privacy fences that are cheaply made.
