Vinyl Fencing Installation
Vinyl fencing installation does not have to be a difficult
situation if you know what you are doing.
You have two options when it comes to installing your own vinyl fence and those options are doing it yourself or hiring a contractor.
If you decide to hire a contractor then make sure you have the budget to do so. It’s not overly expensive but it’s certainly not cheap.
And if you do hire someone make sure they guarantee their work. Also make sure they provide everything the job entails in writing.
Don’t let them begin before you have all the work and all the costs written down on a work order. You need that estimate so that they can’t
throw any suprises like additional fees or additional labor costs.
You can find contractors in the yellow pages of your local town or you can search on Google to find them. Just go to http://www.google.com and
type in "vinyl fence installation contractors + (your town" and you should come up with several.
If you live in a smaller town you may not find any listed but you can always ask around.
Ask your friends, family members, or co-workers if they have had any work done and you’ll be surprised how many recommendations you will
get.
If you decide to do the vinyl fence installation yourself then you can really save some money
and it’s not as difficult as you would think it is.
Vinyl fence comes almost completely assembled so you really don’t need to know how to cut it or shape it in any way.
You may have to assemble the panels but if you can put Leggos together then you can put the fence together.
When installing it yourself you are going to need a shovel, some measuring tape, some string, some cement, and a cement mixer.
You can rent the mixer from your local home improvement store.
First you measure exactly where you want the fence to go and then dig the holes for the fence posts based on your measurements.
Then you need to dig the holes. Now insert the fence posts into the holes. Once you do that, and BEFORE you pour the concrete make sure the
fence is exactly where you want it to be.
You don’t want to pour the concrete only to later find out that the fence is not where you want it or it’s uneven or crooked.
The final step in vinyl fencing installation is to pour the concrete. Once it’s poured all you have to do is let it dry and your fence is
installed!
