Vinyl Fence Installation Yourself Putting up vinyl fencing yourself is not a difficult chore. You need measuring tape, a level, post hole digger, concrete, and a concrete mixer. The first step is to measure where you want your fence. Then you dig the post holes. Make sure they are measured properly. You want them spaced apart and at the same depth so the fence is perfectly even when you put it in the ground. After you have the holes dug you can insert the fence.
